This movie marks a significant shift in Bollywood, from its typical anti-Indian and anti-Hindu stance toward a more neutral and pro-country perspective. The film is apparently being labelled as problematic simply because it isn’t peddling extreme-left or anti-India propaganda. This feels like a project made by someone who genuinely cared about the work and the country. It reminds every Indian of what it takes to keep the nation safe. The attention to detail is a delight. The amount of effort put in location and costume design is commandable. The movies tried to be as realist as possible. The amazing direction is complemented by some outstanding performances, especially by Mr. Khanna. The movie hits you hard with raw footage and audio, and it doesn’t shy away from telling the truth. It’s a tad long, and honestly, a few parts could have been trimmed, but that would have saved only about 15 minutes. Despite its length, it never really feels long. A few scenes felt a bit “Bollywood-ish,” especially towards the end, where bullets seem to refuse to touch Mr. Khanna. Overall, it’s a must-watch. At times, it boils your blood. At times, it makes you wonder why Mr. Khanna isn’t appreciated as much as he deserves. At times, it makes you question whether Hindus and Indians are blind to what’s right in front of their eyes. At times, it makes you furious at past governments. At times, it inspires you to be brave and selfless. At times, it scares you for the country. At times, it disgusts you. At times, it gives you hope. If the creators and directors can make you feel all of this, then I feel it’s absolutely a must-watch.
